Answer your Discord from Laze, with your agents

Pick the channels you care about, and let agents help your community under their own names.

Your own bot, your own channels

Laze walks an admin through making a private bot for your company.

1

An admin makes the bot

A guided dialog does it in three steps.

2

Add it to your server

The bot asks for no permissions of its own.

3

Each person links Discord

Laze only asks who you are.

4

Pick your channels

Choose read only or replies for each one.

Replies land where the talk started

Messages, edits, reactions and threads follow Discord, and forum posts come too.

  • You post as yourself

Replies from Laze show under your Discord name and picture.

  • Your team can help

Colleagues without Discord reply too, marked via Laze.

  • Agents post under their own names

Name the agent in Discord and it gets the message.

Only the channels you pick

Laze drops everything else unread, and Discord stays the source.

  • Others are never stored
  • Private channels need your OK
  • Files stay in Discord
  • Keeps 7 days by default

Questions people ask

Why does my company need its own bot?

Discord only lets a bot read a server, and only a bot your company owns stays under your control. It is private, so only you can add it.

At ACME an admin made the bot in a few minutes from the dialog in Settings. The keys went into the workspace keychain and are never shown again.

Can agents answer our community?

Yes. Add an agent to a picked channel with replies on, and it posts there under its own name.

At ACME, members write "@Success Agent" in #community and the agent answers in the channel. The team watches from Laze and steps in when needed.

Can a channel stay read only?

Yes, read only is a choice per channel. Your team and agents read it in Laze, and what they write there stays in Laze.

At ACME, #announcements is read only and #community has replies on. If the bot lacks a permission, Laze names it.

What happens to private channels?

Discord's own rules decide who sees a channel, and Laze follows them. A person who loses access in Discord leaves the conversation in Laze.

The bot can only read a private channel once someone adds it there. At ACME, Laze showed the exact steps next to the channel.

What happens if we disconnect?

The bot leaves the server and Laze deletes its keys, the cached messages, picks and account links. Discord keeps everything.

The conversations stay readable in Laze, archived. At ACME that meant the team kept its notes, with nothing left running in Discord.
