Give your agent a browser and a machine

Laze gives agents a browser you sign in to once, and lets them use machines you own.

Three kinds of machine

Agents work on their own computer in Laze, and reach a machine for the rest.

  • Chrome with a fixed IP address

For sites with no API: you sign in once, the agent drives.

  • A Mac mini or a server you own

It dials out to Laze, so you open no port.

  • Servers that can't run the connector

Laze reaches them over SSH, with the key kept in the vault.

More from a machine you own

A connected machine can do more than run commands.

Run an agent on it

Your agent runs with your files and tools, and keys still go through Laze.

  • Messages wait while it's off
  • The vault works there too

WhatsApp, on your machine

Link WhatsApp with a code, and your agent reads your chats there.

  • You approve every message
  • Unanswered ones never go out

Questions people ask

Why would an agent need a browser machine?

Some work is only possible on the website itself, such as reading LinkedIn messages. Other services block sign-ins that come from a new address every time.

A browser machine is a Chrome browser with one fixed IP address that keeps your session. You sign in once and the agent takes it from there.

For example, Mia asks the Sales Agent which LinkedIn contacts want a call. She signs in once on the machine's screen, and the agent reads her inbox from then on.

Does Laze see my password?

No. You type your password straight into the machine's live screen, which only you, as its owner, can open. The agent gets a signed-in browser and never the password.

While you have the screen open, the agent can't drive the browser. When you press Done, it takes over, and your sign-in stays on the machine.

Who can use my browser machine?

It is personal to you. Your own agents can use it, and you can grant it to another agent if you want. Other people's agents are refused.

If you revoke or delete it, agents lose access at once. Deleting a browser machine also removes everything that was billed for it.

What does a browser machine cost?

About 4 USD a month while it sleeps and 0.02 USD an hour while it is awake. It goes to sleep after 15 minutes without use and wakes when an agent needs it.

Each machine has a monthly budget, and the cost shows in money before and after. Browser machines run in Paris, in the European Union.

Can my agent use a Mac mini or a server we already have?

Yes. Install the Laze connector on it and it dials out to Laze, so you open no port and need no Tailscale. Laze charges no compute for your own machine, and model calls are billed as for any other agent.

Agents can then run commands there, with that machine's files and tools, and keys still go through the vault. You can also run your agent on it: when the machine is off, messages wait, or the agent answers from your computer if you allow that.

For a server that can't run the connector, such as a NAS, Laze connects over SSH and keeps the key in your vault. Agents can run commands there too, but running an agent, the browser and WhatsApp need the connector.

Can my agent read my WhatsApp?

Yes, through a machine you own with the Laze connector. You link WhatsApp by scanning a code, as you would for WhatsApp on a computer, and your agent can then read your chats there.

Every message the agent wants to send waits for your approval, and an unanswered one never goes out. Only the machine's owner can link or unlink WhatsApp.
