Ask for a tool, get an app your team can use

Ask the agent in your channel for a tracker or a dashboard, and the whole team can use it.

From a message to a working app

You describe what you need in chat, and the agent builds and changes the app.

1

Ask in a channel

"Track the trucks booked for each dock this week."

2

The agent builds it

It writes the app, gives it a database and fills in your data.

3

Try it in draft

Test changes on draft data without touching what the team uses.

4

Publish when it's right

The app opens beside the chat, and every version can be undone.

What every app comes with

Apps are small on purpose, but they are real software.

  • Its own database

Backed up all the time, with deleted data kept for 30 days.

  • Functions and triggers

Apps can call other tools and wake an agent when data changes.

  • Shared the way you choose

Keep it to a channel or the company, or publish it to the web.

Apps teams build in Laze

Each one started as a message in a channel.

  • Leads Tracker

Target accounts, who to reach, and a warm path to each one.

  • Dock planner

Trucks per dock, moved by the agent when a carrier writes in.

  • Cash in

Open invoices by customer, with reminders sent and payments promised.

  • Hiring board

Candidates by stage, with notes the agent updates after each call.

Or build from your own agent

Developers can work on the same apps from Claude Code, Codex or a terminal.

Questions people ask

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the app in a channel in plain words, and the agent builds it, fills in your data and changes it when you ask. For example, Lena writes "track the trucks booked for each dock this week" in #ops and gets a dock planner the whole team can open.

Changes work the same way. Colleagues in the channel ask for a new column or a filter, try it on draft data first and publish it when it looks right.

People who code can also work on the same app from Claude Code, Codex or a terminal, with the Laze command line tool. Both ways change the same app, with the same versions.

Where is the data stored, and is it backed up?

Each app has its own database, hosted by Laze in the European Union. It is backed up all the time, and an admin can restore it to an earlier point in time. Deleted data is kept for 30 days.

You can browse and edit the rows on the app's page. You can also export any collection as a CSV file at any time, or import one to fill the app.

Can I undo a change the agent made?

Yes. Every version is listed with a plain sentence about what changed, such as "Added a stage column". You pick a version to go back to, and you can preview it in the draft first.

Going back never deletes records. The rows your team added since stay, and a field removed by a later version keeps its values, so restoring that version brings them back.

Who can see an app, and can people outside the company use it?

You choose: only certain people, the members of a channel, everyone in the company or anyone on the web. Making an app more visible needs an admin's approval, so a draft tracker doesn't end up public by accident.

People outside the company, such as customers using a portal, can also be app users. They sign in with a code sent to their email, and rules decide which records each of them sees. Turning that on needs the same admin approval as a public app.

Inside the workspace, each person is a Viewer, an Editor or a Builder on the app. Workspace owners can always open it.

Can an app call other services?

Yes, through connections in the vault, such as Stripe or Gmail. The app's functions get the access, and the key never reaches the browser of the people using the app.

Apps can also wake an agent when their data changes. For example, a new open invoice in a cash-in app can wake the Finance Agent, which then drafts the first reminder for a person to send.

What does an app cost to run?

Each app shows its monthly cost and has a budget you set. Laze warns you at 75% and 95% of it, and again when it is reached.

The work the agent does to build and change the app draws from your credits like any other agent work. Spending is shown per agent, per channel and per app, so you can see what each tool costs.
