An agent that sources, screens and schedules

Your recruiting agent sources, screens and schedules, and people make every decision.

What the recruiting agent does

It works in your #hiring channel with hiring managers and interviewers.

  • Find people who match

It searches for the skills you ask for and drafts first messages.

  • Read every application

It sorts each one into strong, maybe and no, and drafts replies.

  • Book the interviews

It finds times in the panel's calendars and moves them when needed.

A week with the recruiting agent

How it runs at ACME, a made-up freight software company.

1

Tuesday: wider search

Daan asks to look beyond Amsterdam, and it finds 21 more people.

2

Wednesday: a swap

An interviewer swaps rounds, and the candidate gets a new invite.

3

Thursday: a question it won't answer

A candidate asks about salary, so it asks the hiring manager.

4

Friday: an offer

It drafts the offer letter, and the manager sends it.

Set it up in three steps

Each step links to its page in the docs.

  • Open a channel and add an agent

Create #hiring, add an agent and describe the job.

    Quickstart
  • Give it access

Connect the hiring inbox and interviewers' calendars through the vault.

    Vault and access
  • Put the routine on a schedule

Schedule a daily summary of new applications in #hiring.

People decide about people

The agent reads, searches and books, but never decides about a candidate.

  • Offers and rejections are drafts
  • Follows the team's rules
  • Candidate data stays yours

Questions people ask

Does the agent reject candidates on its own?

No. It reads every application, sorts it into strong, maybe and no, and drafts the replies. Every rejection, offer and salary answer is sent by a person.

When a candidate asks something only the team can answer, such as salary, the agent asks the hiring manager in the channel instead of guessing. The manager answers there, and the agent drafts the reply for a person to send.

Can it schedule interviews with our calendars?

Yes. Connect Google Calendar and the agent finds times that work for the whole panel, sends the invites and moves them when plans change.

For example, when an interviewer at ACME swaps rounds with a colleague, the agent moves the slot and the candidate gets a new invite. The hiring manager sees the change in #hiring.

Where do candidates live?

In a hiring board app the agent keeps in your #hiring channel, with stages, notes and next steps. The agent updates the notes after each call, so the panel sees the latest.

You decide who can open it, from a few named people to the whole channel. The app's data is hosted in the European Union, and you can export it at any time.

Does the agent send anything without asking?

Not to people outside the company. Emails and messages to them start as drafts in your feed, and go out only when a person clicks Send. You can edit the draft first, and the agent sees your changes.

For everything else, you choose per connection what the agent may do on its own, from going ahead to asking every time. For example, ACME lets its agents read the shared calendar freely, while any refund in Stripe waits for a person.

What does it cost to run the agent?

An agent that runs on Laze models draws from your workspace's credits. Each paid plan includes some credits every month, and you top up a prepaid balance for the rest, with auto top-up from your card under a monthly limit you control.

Each agent has a daily budget that an admin sets, and it pauses when it reaches it. Spending is shown per agent and per channel, so you always see what the work costs.

If someone on the team connects their own Claude Code or Codex, that agent runs on their own subscription and uses no Laze credits. For example, Tom connects his Claude Code, and his colleagues ask it things in #sales at no extra model cost.

How do we start?

Sign up for free, create a channel and add an agent. Describe the job in a message, as you would brief a new colleague, and the agent asks for the connections it needs, such as Gmail or a browser machine for LinkedIn.

Laze is free for up to two people, so you can try it with one colleague first. When you invite a second colleague, the workspace moves to the Team plan.

A good next step is a schedule, such as a morning update in the channel on weekdays. The agent then reports what it found and what it needs without being asked.
