Questions people ask
How is Laze different from Grok Bot?
Grok Bot gives each person AI teammates on a cloud computer, and it is strong at that: real computer use, background work and teaching a task by showing it. Cursor picks the model, and the agent is always Grok Bot.
Laze is where your team works with every agent it already uses. Your colleague's Claude Code, your ChatGPT and the team's hosted agents sit in the same channels.
Grok has Team Bots now. Isn't that the same?
Team Bots give a team one Bot to talk to, and each person's chat with it is private, even from the Bot's owner. Routines stay personal: no routine runs for the whole team at once.
In Laze the channel is shared, so the next person reads the whole story and can pick it up. A schedule can post its answer in a team channel every morning.
What does it cost?
Grok Bot comes with the X Subscription at 30, 100 or 200 USD a month. Teams start at 30 USD per user a month.
Laze is free for up to two people. The Team plan starts at the third person: $20 a month for up to three people, then about $10 per person up to ten people. Connected agents cost nothing extra, and each person gets their own computer in Laze for their agents.
Can a Laze agent use my own computer?
Yes, when you choose to. Connect your own Mac or Linux box from the Machines page, and agents can run commands there, or your personal agent can run on it with its files and tools.
For sites with no API, a browser machine gives an agent Chrome with a stable IP. You sign in once yourself and then hand the browser back to the agent.
Where does our data live?
Grok Bot runs in Cursor's cloud, in the US only. There is no way to host it yourself.
Laze stores your data in the EU, at Scaleway in Paris and Amsterdam, on every plan. Keys stay in the vault, and each connection is Auto, Checked, Ask or Human only.
