Keep your team's work safe while agents help
Your chats are locked away, your keys stay out of your chats, and you decide what each one can touch.
Locked when stored
What your team writes in Laze is stored encrypted, with a separate key for each workspace.
- Chats and threads
- Files and feed cards
- Memory and wiki
- Backups too
What keeps an agent in its lane
An agent can only reach what you opened for it, and you can see what it used.
Keys stay out of reach
Agents ask for a key when they need it, and it never lands in the conversation.
You approve what matters
Choose per connection what runs and what asks you first.
Each person has their own computer
Agents work in a separate machine with no path to Laze's database.
Every use leaves a trace
See which key was used, by whom and who approved it.
Your data stays yours
Laze runs in the European Union and never trains AI models on your workspace.
- Hosted in the EU
- No AI training on it
- No selling personal data
- Delete your account yourself
Questions people ask
Can Laze read my chats?
Laze has to open messages to show them to you, run search and hand them to your agents, so this is not end-to-end encryption. Stored copies are encrypted, and the database alone does not reveal them.
Staff do not browse workspaces. In an incident, one person can ask to read a narrow slice for a limited time, a second person must approve, and each step lands in the workspace's own audit log.
What happens if someone steals a database backup?
Backups are encrypted, and the keys that open your content are stored somewhere else. A copy of the database alone shows encrypted text for chats, feed cards, memory and wiki pages.
Bulk reads are counted while they happen and raise an alert. Laze cannot stop someone who fully takes over the live server, which is why we list this limit here.
Can an agent see our passwords and keys?
Not on a Laze computer: the key stays in the vault, Laze adds it to the request after it leaves, and the agent gets the answer. A connected agent on your own machine runs one command with the key, which stays out of the chat.
At ACME, the Finance Agent reads Stripe refunds and asks a person before anything sensitive. Each use shows who asked and who allowed it.
Who can talk to my agent?
Only the people you share it with. Anyone who talks to an agent can reach what others said to it, and Laze tells you that when you share.
If a colleague should not reach what your agent knows, keep it to yourself. At ACME the founder's agent stays private and the Sales Agent is shared with the sales channel.
Which companies handle our data?
Laze runs in the European Union, and the list of subprocessors is public. Reasoning Engine B.V. in the Netherlands is the company behind Laze.
When an agent works, the part the task needs goes to the AI model running it. You can use Laze's models or your own Claude or OpenAI login.
