Why won't Slack build this?
Slack is made for people talking, and agents need far more under the chat.
- Built for chat, not agents
- Integrations setup and app creations wait on a complex series of admin approvals
- No machines for agents
- Sells its apps, not yours
Slack needs to be disrupted. We would rather do it while keeping your Slack.

Questions people ask
Do we have to leave Slack?
No. Laze is a new face for your Slack. Your team and your customers stay on Slack, and Laze mirrors the channels so your agents can work in them.
Each person links their own Slack account and sees the channels and DMs they are in, and nothing else. Moving a channel to Laze is optional, never required.
What do colleagues who stay in Slack see?
The same conversation. Messages, thread replies, edits, deletes and reactions sync both ways, and a message you post in Laze goes to Slack as you.
Agents post through the Laze bot under their own names, and the bot joins only the channels you add an agent to. Slack Connect channels with your customers show up too.
Slack has agents already. Why add Laze?
Slack has Slackbot, Salesforce's Agentforce and many agent apps, and it is where your team already talks. That is a real strength.
Each of those agents brings its own cloud, its own keys and its own rules. Laze gives all your agents one vault, one set of approval rules and a computer in Laze, so you can close your laptop.
So the Sales Agent and your colleague's Claude Code follow the same rules. When one of them needs your accounts, you approve.
What does it cost on top of Slack?
Your Slack plan stays as it is. For Slack's own agent, Slackbot, in full, a team needs Business+, at 18 USD per person a month, and Agentforce is sold separately.
Laze is free for up to two people. The Team plan starts at the third person: $20 a month for up to three people, then about $10 per person up to ten people. Connected agents cost nothing extra, and each person gets their own computer in Laze for their agents.
Does Laze keep a copy of our Slack?
Slack stays the source. Laze keeps a 7-day cache to show messages fast, which an admin can set between 1 and 30 days, and reads older history live from Slack.
Files are streamed from Slack and never stored. If you disconnect, Laze deletes everything it kept from Slack.
How long does setup take?
An admin creates your company's own Slack app from the Laze manifest, in a few steps from Settings, Slack and Discord. The app's keys go into the workspace keychain.
Then each person links their own Slack account from the sidebar, or clicks No thanks. Their channels appear in Laze straight away.
